Mary Palko » About the Artist

Hello, my name is Mary G. Palko

I’ve lived all around the world and am an international entrepreneur with properties in France, Argentina, Nicaragua and Texas. I am a passionate advocate for the philosophy of Sister Cities International: connecting people and places for peace.  

Art: I literally avoided anything to do with art except for stick figures until I was 50-ish. Then, while in Tuscany with friends and as part of a dare, I began to sketch the castles on the hillsides. I was  stunned! It almost looked like what I was seeing. This opened up a world beyond my wildest dreams. I then began painting classes with J.T. Grant.

Today, I actively seek different and powerful means to express this need, this desire to express with paint.

It absolutely speaks louder than my words.

To explore colors, shapes, shades and styles for my art expression is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

I believe art should not only live in galleries.
